No, I haven't. All I've done is remove all the hoses when replacing the turbo and checked if I see any hole but of course that test is with no pressure.
Is there any proper way to perform that test?
yes put air since the Maf to turbo hose, where the Maf is placed and plug the breather sistem hole ...you should get it pressurized ,if not try to move the car in 5th gear some cms...or block the air in the thorttle body....
easy ,simple and for all the family as Bricomania says

Hi everyone. It's been a long time since I posted this and still haven't done the boost leak test.
Now that I have holiday want to do it and first step has been preparing the bung.
the black one is the regulating valve to control the volume of blowby through
your breather system.the grey solenoid is the chacoal canister valve(N80).
plugged off the black one or the end on the boot hose then do leak test.
this thread remind me to do the test on mine too.last time i did test is over
5yrs.
You should bung the inlet to the MAF to turbo hose where the kinked pipe joins from the front of the cam cover, to prevent backwards pressuring the PCV system
This way you test the entire intake system for leaks in one go, including injector seats, ISV etc etc

you re also worth to pull off the small blk/grey pcv under intake manifold since it s usually
leaking.get the oem. one not the billet one from 034's.i have billet from 034's and last time when
i pulled off the pcv.it stuck open.

PCV valve is this one, right?
If I block the cam cover breather should I also disconnect the PCV or it's not reaching pressure there?
Just disconnect the cam cover through pipe (the strange zig-zig one) from the MAF hose and plug the hole in the MAF hose.
This doesn't check the DV for a split diaphragm, best way to test that is to disconnect the small vac pipe at the front of the IM and suck on it, it should hold a vacuum.
When you've done the pressure test, and fixed any leaks, reconnect the cam cover through pipe and test to a few PSI just to be sure there are no leaks in the PCV breather system.
Ok friends. I did the test and found a leak at ISV idle stabilizer valve.
I've read this is quite common. Cleaning it with carb cleaner can do something or there's no other option than buying new one?
