    boost problem/cut out

    hi everyone!
this is the first time i'm writing because it's the first time something has gone wrong...
just to start - i've got an S2 aby with wagner manifolds and holset HX35 - to cut the story short..
just recently driving from work the car started palying up - as soon as it goes over 0.5bar engine cuts out and it happens regardless of revs or N75 being on or off...
just wondering if anyone has had any experience with such a problem?
any help will be much appreciated!
    regards!

    Welcome...

I would carry out a pressure test to start with.

    Darren.

well i dont think thats the issue as all pipes etc are new and i did the pressure thest when it was put together (not long ago), also had a look in another forum where replacing of o2 sensor was suggested and as it's easy to do that was done and car was fine for two days but now it has happened again so here i am asking for help..

O2 sensor has nothing to do with it, it is not used at WOT, it is only used at cruising and very light throttle.

          check the MAF connection.

You will spend more money chasing faults than a cheap Vag Com lead costs you..

It does work just fine, if you know how to set it up.

Your car is in limp mode, and the ECU has a fault stored that will say exactly what the problem is.
It also looks like your limp mode fuel cut map is not tuned to be in line with the wastegate spring you have installed.

It's either that, or your coil(s) are bad.

Their are plenty of folk on here that use them. You only need a registered lead to read the higher blocks on later cars EGT, cam timing etc.

The ABY, AAN & ADU have limited (to a degree) diagnostics, a cheap job should do the trick..

You have the wrong program probably. You need VCDS-Lite, not VCDS.
Unless you are using a HEX-CAN cable.

If you are using a HEX-CAN cable, then use the program that the cable is for, you can't use the newer version from Ross-Tech.
