I'm running stock AAN inlet and 7A exhaust cams in stock marks.
Engine is 2.54L and revs to 7200.
Turbo is HX40Super 14#.
Regular pump gas 98 with 2.2bar.

Red line is Nm and blue line is Hp from wheels.
EDIT:
Old setup
Engine 2.2L with stock AAN cams.
Turbo is HX40Super 14#.
Using E85 and 2.3bar.

Red line is Nm and blue line is Hp from wheels.Audi UrS4 609hp/846Nm @ wheels

What do you mean by exhaust exducer? The turbine exducer from GT3076 is 55. The major turbine diameter (turbine inducer) is 60mm.
At the compressor the Inducer is minor diameter and exducer major diameter. At the turbine the opposite: inducer major diameter and exducer is minor diameter.Last edited by Billman; 22 February 2012, 07:50.Go Holset or Go RS4Comment

Those are some very nice curves with peak torque from right over 4K. Should be very quickI'm running stock AAN inlet and 7A exhaust cams in stock marks.

Thanks for the answer
.
Looks like I have a spare set of NM cam's then,
.
Edit- I should have mentioned that I'm going to fitting RS2 injectors and a 7A fuel pressure regulator just prior to getting it remapped, was going to fit the cams at the same time. Running it on either a stock ECU or my one with Nothelle software at the moment, once I'm 100% happy with everything, no codes etc I will be looking to have the car custom mapped and will get in touch via PMLast edited by K Simmonds; 22 February 2012, 12:12.1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.

FATS is 3.2 sek, but i'm using diesel gearbox (DQT), so that dosent sound right to me. :mischeif: I haven't taken to account that the 3. gear is longer in my gearbox.
Dyno is SuperFlow Autodyno.
It's very driveable car around city. It is a Ghetto build stroker. (Supra pistons, diesel crank, AAN block and bmw rods).

I love the sound of this bottom end, have started to collect the parts to build one. Doing it slowly on a budget, I have excellent trade contacts who will do the machining for me in their spare time for special rates. Would the NM cams be worth hanging on to for that engine?
PS, I'd be converting to coil per cylinder prior to fitting such an engine.1990 B3 2.0 80 quattro.

Thanks for nice info! My car is absolutely be totally only weekend toy, in old rear wheel chassis. Here is how my engine and relatives are on this moment; No need for adjustable gears IMO.
Just fit 7A cams, you will reach your target. Even on stock head. Just boost until it stops making power, and drop CR a bit. You will also need a 35R turbo.
With Catcams and good porting to make use of them, you will make much more power, but there is so much overlap down low, that the car barely idles below 1200 rpm.
And yes, your car will be a dog at low revs. But if you want to have good power from down low, the limit is around 500hp and a 30R turbo on stock cams.
Anything bigger, and just forget down low drivability and concentrate on a power band, where you need to keep the car in.
Decide what you want to do...
Rebuild the engine with strong rods? or don't touch the engine?
Stock or aftermarket engine management?
What kind of turbo?
I've mapped so many cars with totally different setups now, that I can probably give you pretty decent advice, if you just say what you want from the car.
But my nr1 advice is, that if you want to be anything more than a weekend toy, then the limit will be around 500hp on 2.2L displacement.
Anything more and you won't be able to reach high boost on 1st gear, and you won't be able to shift from 1st to 2nd without antilag, so that turbo stays spooled.
So unless you go with launch control and anti lag from the lights, someone with a smaller turbo will beat you until 100km/h.

-still to come; boring the block and all other machining to engine, little headwork, adjustable cam gears, stiffer valve springs, EV14 1000cc injectors, 034 or LS2 or RS4 V8 coils, Sachs 707 pressure plate etc.
What of those coils you suggest? RS4 V8 coils are cheapest, but how much is their limit?Fiat 131 Abarth replica AANComment
