Ultimot chip tuning for Audi S2 Aby engine

    Hi people,
I live in Brazil and I have a Audi S2 sedan (ABY engine). I have a ECU with All Car Racing eprom (Italian company), bought by the first owner, that I belive that are the cause of my problems. During the acceleration I have a fuel injector timing cut (I saw in VAG-COM graf) and fault code 544 (Boost pressure to maximum exceeded) I changed a lot of parts (Mass Air Flow, Fuel Injectors, Internal ECU pressure Sensor, Ignition Control Unit (2), Rotation Sensor, Spark Plugs, Throttle Position Sensor, N75 valve), checked all air lines (vacuum and pressure) and I still have the problem. My last option is the ECU or eproms. I'm thinking to replace these eproms to Ultimot eproms with a new wastegaste spring. Anyone here know about ultimot chip tuning and the results? Will be a good choice? Ultimot keep the software maintains full functionality in terms of diagnostics, engine protection and fault code memory. Is it possible using VAG-COM by Ross Tech?
    Thanks,

Ultimot does not make their own chips.
They steal chips from others and then sell them.

Their RS2 chipset is stolen from Tom Schmalz.
Some time ago, Sir Buff on here confronted them with that, after he sent me the files and I told him it's the T+S chipset. He also asked Tom himself, and Tom confirmed that the chipset was stolen, that Ultimot is not paying him anything.
That specific chipset was also not good for standard octane fuel, it was meant for race grade fuel or with meth injection in mind.

I would not recommend buying any software from Ultimot, because they have no idea what they are selling, and they will lie to you about it as well...

That said, your "italian" option might be completely useless as well.

But before we jump to conclusions. Have you made a pressure test with a compressor and verified that your intake holds the pressure? Is your wastegate spring stock? And screw in stock position?

And finally - please don't take this entire post as a sales pitch, but if you need software for the ECU, I can help you, and I am sure whatever I will provide will be better and safer for your car than what you get from Ultimot. The price will probably be a little better as well

Hi, I made the test and the problem is not in the maximun boost pressure. I don't know if the wastegaste spring is original because I'm not the first owner. Because this I'm replacing a lot of parts and some days ago I opened the ECU and saw the eproms for this company called All Car Racing. My father worked in Audi technical department for 7 years and he was furious when saw the eprom. Yesterday I saw that the bypass valve is wrong too.. The bypass valve is from A3 model. Here in Brazil is commom people with no knowledge making wrong things, and now I have a problem because the guy change a lot of things in car. What is the screw in stock position?

Is the wastegate cap drilled at all? Or is it untouched?
Stock position is about 8mm in.

Bypass is ok if it is 710N version. It is actually more durable.
So what is changed on the car, what is stock?

How much boost is it running now?
Is the only code in diagnostics maximum pressure exceeded?
        How does the car drive?

          I have these fault codes:
          00513 - Engine speed sender (G28)
00544 - Boost pressure to maximum exceeded
          00561 - Mixture adaptation
The car is all original, but with this eproms and wastegaste spring if I don't know if is original. The wastegate cap is original.
I have the problem in a lot of conditions... low RPM, high RPM, low pressure, high pressure, if the acceleration is progressive is more difficult to happen, but if you accelerate 100% you have the problem in the begining.

I think you have a boost leak.
Pressurize the entire intake with 1 bar from the MAF.

It probably will not hold pressure. Especially if you changed MAF.

Ok. I will make this test but I still want to change the eprom. Which option do you have? I want to replace the eprom and the spring.

There is no need to touch the spring.
You can make an easy test to determine if the string is the stock one or not.

For EPROM's I have many options. If you just want stock ones, I can send you stock ones, or I can send you different tuned ones...
                There's actually 2 EPROM's.

Also, you will be able to check if the spring is stock or not quite easily without disassembling the wastegate.

But first, make sure you have no boost leaks. If you changed the Air Mass Meter for a new one, then I am quite sure that adaptation exceeded code is a boost leak.

                      Hi Guslotti,

I had the same problem for several years with that same 544 code and audi couldn´t solve it.

As prj said it must be a boost leak, mine was from the intercooler joining the crossemenber and finally solved with a new o-ring and the MarkH mod (thank you Mark) and a new N75.

Thank you guys, I will make the test tomorrow. PRJ can you list the eproms options and results that you have that I don't need to replace another parts?

My ABY have ultimot chips and cutout problems - you can have them if you give me stock chips.
                          Cheers, Torben

Sounds like Ultimot and Digitec chips are in the same league http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1503
