So why are you "looking to limit"?

Torque breaks things, not horsepower. If you have some component that is not strong enough, then you limit torque.

Ok i'm looking at options with what ive got already to get my car back on the road. My engines basically standard

easiest thing to do then is list up what exactly is on your car so people can advise you properly rather than just saying turbos and people having to guess what you've got to support it.

ok what about -

Compressor inducer 49mm, exducer 84mm. dia of compressor housing 184mm

Turbine .70 A/R
inducer = 60mm
exducer = 70mm

Is this no good as a start point to set-up my VEMS ecu, good for say 380-400hp ?

Don't understand what you are asking really you have a hx35, install and map it

Why is he looking to limit though this turbo can easily run at a high potential on a stock bottom end

Sorry should have said, my rods are stock so don;t want to brake anything using a HX35. My injectors are 420cc.

But thats the point you wont break anything with that turbo and stock rods. to bend rods you need torque and a lot of it low down. If the guy mapping the car knows the engine this isn't a problem. It's all a lot of fuss for nothing.
