Cooper read my post again, the long blue pipe has been doing nothing if its connected to the front of the cam cover (unless the pipe has been drilled inside). That pipe inside the cam cover just goes through the cover and out the back.

See here in this diagram, the upper pipe on the back of the cam cover just goes through to the front without venting inside the engine, (on the 3B this pipe was external but on the ABY they tidied it up and put it inside..)
Youi need to remove everything apart from the 2 pipes on the right habd side of the pic, then where it says PCV you connect you catch tank. Its best if you run the small pipe into the big one like the picture but you can just connect them separately to the catch tank.

The 7A motor is not turbocharged so does not have the same issues, AFAIK there is just a small vent at the back of the cover but I might be wrong. Some people running 7A covers on Turbo builds drill s hole in the top of the cover and vent that way.
As said before the 3B pipe runs round the outside of the cover to connect to the MAF Hose between the airbox and the Turbo inlet.Comment

ha ha!!There's a hidden pipe inside the ABY cover that normally takes the fumes from the PCV system to the MAF hose, The long blue pipe in your picture is connected to the front end of this pipe and I wouldn't mind betting that the other end is open, in any case the long blue pipe is doing nothing, the only take off on the cam cover that actually goes into the engine for the removal of fumes is the smaller one of the two on the back.
If you take the one from the back of the cover and the one from the crankcase to the catch can and then take the output of the can either to the filter as you have it of via a bit of pipe to a remote filter (mine is low down in the engine bay) it will be fine. Mine is like this. You can ignore the hidden pipe entiely and leave both ends open if you wish.
The only time you'll get oil in the tank with this setup is when cornering very hard on the track, I've never had any oil in the tank on the road. The way to get around this is to join the pipe from the back of the cover into the pipe from the cc lower down so when oil surges in the head it drops back to the sump, in fact the original system is laid out in this way. I actually have the pipes and a T piece to do this but haven't got round to it
read this 10 times and now it makes perfect sense.....i knew there was a really simple solution
my main issue was not knowing the tube in the rocker cover goes from front to rear and thats it,it doesnt vent the engine at all....
so now i have 16mm off rear of rocker straight to standard crankcase junction (standard aby parts)and 19mm of crankcase junction to catch tank, catch tank vent to atmosphereComment

lol..thanks for all the input, now all sortedSee here in this diagram, the upper pipe on the back of the cam cover just goes through to the front without venting inside the engine, (on the 3B this pipe was external but on the ABY they tidied it up and put it inside..)

question !
I've deported my PCV valve on left on my 3B because silicone hose from 034 can't permit to respect OEM intallation
Look like this :

Could this affect/trouble idling ?
PCV valve can block air flow in one way or other ?
I have trouble to understand how it works and if it holds a pressure system or not ?
