What's the difference in making up the looms for type of car?? Just length being difference??

I've just ordered the 034 kit with a set of 2.0 FSi coils. I'll keep y'all posted on build quality when it lands.

So at the moment prj is high up there for his products and knowledge which is key seeing you can speak to him freely and easily.

Efi express you say Marc does a good job can we get pics.

034 we will wait and see

There will be some minor differences in distance from coils to firewall connectors between LHD/RHD/S2/S6 etc but the EFI loom had enough slack (not too much) to handle that. Otherwise the requirements are identical. I'll post some pics of them in situ over the weekend.

Yup. That is the whole point. You plug the two big connectors into the harness where the harness used to connect to the OE N122 and N127 POSs. Then you plug in the the two 3 pin power connectors into the white plugs on the firewall. Attach the ground to the cam cover and then add the five 1.8t/2.0t/2.5TFSI/late V8 coil packs to the the five 4 pin coil connectors and you are done (all this after you have removed the OE 20V Turbo coil pack plate and coils).

I am running the LS2 coils from Efiexpress and think to use the tfsi ones on another engine.

I am going to look after a loom in a GB happens or something.

Man, I wish this 2.0 tfsi coil kit was around for the AAN when I bought the super expensive 034 HO coil kit. This harness and coils are WAY cheaper and just as good if not better.

The HO coil kit was $675 and the Magnecor wires were 202....

Both Apikol and 034 put 1.8t coil pack kits on the market in April 2006 following the publishing my 1.8t coil pack DIY in the fall of 2005. The harnesses that they built then or the ones people built from my DIY work on the 1.8t, 2.0t, 2.5 TFSI and the recent 4.2L V8 coilpacks. The first kits were marketed at around US$399. Prices have dropped since then because the coilpacks can now be bought for under US$20.

The 034 HO coils are strong but there have been some failures. Their coils are guaranteed to the original purchaser for life (so they say). The problem is you have to send your old coil back to them to get the free replacement. I once figured out that the 034 HO coils were actually Mercury Marine engine coils but 034 denies that.

The LS2 coil kit from EFI Express is likely equally as robust as the 034 HO coil kit with the advantage that the LS2 coils are readily available at quite low prices, e.g. US$30.

So I wouldn't feel too bad about your purchase of the 034 HO coil kit. Lots of high hp folks run them.
