    new dyno 759 AWHP / 554 wtq @ 38 psi

had a freaking TERRIFIC EVENING ON THE DYNO!!!!!! driving into the trailer tops ALL.

but, got some good solid data... and ended up 759AWHP/554 tq @ 38 psi, that is more power (22 hp) and less tq (14 ft) but with 2 psi less.

changes were old turbo had cast 63mm wheel and 1.10 hotside. new turbo has 67mm billet wheel and 1.25 hotside. we did log all of the runs for backpressure and will be looking into that as well.

    pass 4

    pass 5

then us being us, we deciding to forego 800 AWHP in favor of a 4 gear bash clutchless shifting. and its gonna be sofaking BADASS!!!!!! 3 days! we even turned the boost down in each gear, specially the 1-2 transition. 3-4 was pretty much as it will run.

    pass 6

and yes, that is a 40 psi gauge. it holds right where the tuner Kevin Black says to hold it.

and messin around with runnin thru the gears with clutchless shifts on the dyno.

    Sweet!
Interesting to see the huge power difference from low to high gear due to the much better load available in the higher gears.

that was done via boost control.... 10% 1st, 20% 2nd, 35% 3rd, 40% 4th. duty cycle for boost that is. and that was 38psi in 4th gear.

and the one other change was these runs were done on E-98 as well, not E-85 (which really measured 87%) like last time.

Aha. Would be interesting to see the difference between the gears running the same DC for boost. Would be noticeable, especially whp in 1st and 2nd gear. The bigger the turbo, the greater the difference.

Without doubt it is a great project but how many can do tests with just that little cooling in front? Small fans.

and i dont run A2A intercooler. i run A2W. normally we dyno with only one fan, its only for the radiator. there was a Honda on the rollers before me, one of my drag racing buddies, and he needed two i guess. he made 550 WHP and 400 tq on a Chinese Ebay 35R $288 turbo!!! beats the piss out of it and its still brand new!

my inlet temp is around 78deg F and out of the intercooler its 68deg F.

the temp in the shop was ~87deg F.

and EGT was only around 900deg F as well.
