Can't help but think the faut on my car is caused by other peoples poor work!

Why would my POS plugs be miss matched like this??

I would of assumed that the plug colours would be the same above and below the units? Its an ongoing hesitation/pinking problem.

            hmm, strange..

my car run if I switch place on the 3-pins but I run Vag 1,8t coils and custom loom..

try to switch place on the upper 3-pins and not the lower 4-pin and try to start..

            Maybe this will help. http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/troubl...4_Ignition.htm

You switched both top and bottom connectors, right?

Only switch the 3-pin ones, else were the car only run on cyl 4 and 5 or 1, 2 and 3...

But the 3-pins are only +12V power connectors and ground :s

Just follow the guide and u´ll find the problem if it´s ignition related: http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/troubl...4_Ignition.htm

Umm...that is VERY DANGEROUS AND INCORRECT ADVISE Carfreak. If that is your level of advice then I understand why you are having problems with your car.

The 3 connectors on the POSs are NOT 12v power connections. They are the connections to the coils and are the way the ECU controls the creation of spark by telling the POS to take the coil to ground, creating the high tension spark. Just swapping the three pin connectors could lead to mis-firing and engine damage. POS connectors need to be swapped in pairs.

Sorry m8 but I´m only quoting what 034 motorsport says about the 115r coils - don´t know if it´s the same on stock stuff..

                      Look at the installation guide!
034 says -"6) Plug in the two 3-pin connectors to the factory harness, it doesn't matter which connector gets plugged in to which female 3-pin. These are just the coil power leads."

And the problems with my car is caused by a bad tune, nothing else

All three pin connectors are not created equal.

Your problem is you don't know the difference between the 3 pin plugs for the OE POSs and the 3 pin plugs for the 12V power off the connector rack (which is what 034 was talking about). Two entirely different things. The 3 pin power plugs are the white OE ones in this annotated photo:

Got cunfused but thnx for the pics, much easier to see!

Just a question about the pic.. isn´t the black wire the signal from the o2 sensor ?
I think the labels on the pic is mixed up..

Atleast on my UrS4 the black is signal, the one with a regular cable fitting and the other 2 for heating goes into the 2pin bosch connector!

Ha. Made me go check my car (and Bentley). You are correct about the O2 sensor wiring. My information was wrong and I have corrected it.

The two pin harness connector on the connector rack contains a yellow wire from the S73 12 Amp fuse and a brown wire with a white stripe. It connects to the two pin male O2 sensor connector and the two white wires. The 12V power to the heater comes in through the yellow wire, down one of the white wires, through the O2 sensor heating element (a thin but tough resistance wire no doubt), back up through the second white wire and into the brown/white wire and, eventually, to a ground on the intake manifold.

The single black O2 sensor wire with the single spade connector it the signal connection to Pin T55/28 of the ECU (at least an AAN ECU). The ECU harness wire colour is supposed to be green but the connector is potted and I could not confirm the harness wire colour without checking at the ECU at pin 28/55. The black wire connects to the Lambda sensor and the Lambda is grounded to the engine. Presumably the ECU monitors the resistance in the Lambda sensor and interprets that as O2 or A/F ratio.

Corrected C4 UrS connector rack labelling:

                              Awesome

Just a question.. should it be a ground wire from the engine/cyl head to the chassi ? Like from the valve cover to the chassi or something..

I measured the resistance between valve cover and a clean area on the chassi and had like 0.02Ohm or something like that..
