Pauter is overkill for most builds the integrated engineering ones work out cheaper and have the same rifle drilling.

Jamo does he not mean integrated engineering rods?

Anyway according to integrated engineering's website for roughly ÂŁ407 plus delivery plus import tax I could have a set of their rods.......the brain is ticking I do have a few friends working in america right now....hmmm thanks for that

Oh an on another topic JP the RS2 intake was showing up in Aberdeen early this morning on the tracker, so could be with me tomorrow or Saturday

I also ordered the cylinder head gasket set, head bolts and thermostat and seal from gsf today.

I've found a brand new bosch 044 fuel pump on ebay for ÂŁ129.99 inc delivery....seems an ok price judging on the other prices I've seen.....I'll prob just go for it.

I was looking at 034motorsports surge tank with integrated fuel pump but it seems quite expensive at ÂŁ400 odd quid plus delivery plus import tax - the reason I like it is it's just such a clean install...........any suggestions / advice on that since you guys are on a roll!

I modified my intank basket and dropped the 044 pump straight into it and then put a relay in to power the pump directly of the battery using the original wiring to trigger it.

              Just to let you know guys, I've ordered;

              Integrated Engineering conrods (rifle drilled),
              044 fuel pump,
              Complete cylinder head gasket set,
              Head bolts, and
              Water pump.

Once I've received the parts, the rebuild will begin!

I spoke to Richard (Hoffer) last night and he was saying that he was thinking I'd be better going for a K26/27 hybrid turbo instead of the RS2 hybrid, apparently Lloyd, Sonic, Avantus and Ross have them, and they're good for 430ish bhp.......sounds good to me!

Long time since I posted on here last, getting married and converting a church into our home and getting a mortgage hasn't helped!

After speaking to JP about conrods and engine balancing and the fact that I'm going to be around 400 bhp, I decided although I have the Integrated Engineering Conrods I'm not going to install them, it just seems like a lot more hassle when it's not really needed......

My mate has stripped down the engine and cleaned and painted everything up and partly assembled it, I'll let pictures do the talking...

And with the standard valve cover.....

Next job is prepping the bay while my mate cleans up the gearbox and gets it all together......

I wish my list of bits I'd bought for mine was that short

Are you fabricating chassis mounts to use the AAN engine mounts? And what are you dong for a rad?

                    Cheers!

That is just the "engine" list!

We are welding in 90 20v 5 banger engine mounts.

Again we are using the 90 20v radiator and plumbing.

Looking good so far. Have you decided on a tuner yet? VES Sport near Perth say they can custom map S2s. Im building another engine for my ABYed typ85 90Q and still have to decide on this. Where abouts are you based?

                        I'm in Shetland.

I was hoping to send my ecu to prj - Dmitri? To get a generic map done just to get the car running then eventually organise a road trip for a live mapping session again hopefully prj, but not really sorted anything yet...

Cool, just FYI some of those AAN parts will require custom work on a B3/B4, engine mounts, snub mount etc Looking forward to seeing the build-up

                              Cool that would be great.

What is the ins an outs of the generic map?

                              Cons / expected power levels?

I suppose being conservative is the key...?

After you posted earlier I did wonder if you meant that....does any of you have pics of custom bracket work? Is it possible to use ABY / 3b brackets?

Sadly this won't be the only bridge We'll have to cross!
