Doesn't sound like pump
Either work or don't
My gt s pump wasn't buzzing the other day, been stood 6 months
Smacked it with a piece I wood n freed it
Can u hear the relay clicking?
Has it an immobiliser that may be playing silly ******s?
Dont think it is the pump as it just tried it again and it starts and run fine...for about 30-60 seconds, then dies whether youre at idle or part throttle. Try cranking again and nothing at all, just turns over with no fuel pump running. However if I disconnect the battery for a couple of mins and re-connect, hey presto...it starts and runs again...for a minute....
No codes at all...
just because the pump runs doesn't mean its generating the right fuel pressue. If there is no residual pressure in the lines after it cuts out by default unless you have a mahoosive fuel leak then the pump isn't producing pressure enough to replenish what the engine consumes
Dont really want to change the pump unless i am sure this could be the problem...It was changed a couple of years ago and has done less than 1000 miles. Would sitting around for a year not being used cause it to deteriorate...?
I have used fresh v-power in the tank as it was nearly empty...
think I'll change the filter and pump and see if it makes a difference, I would have thought the pump would die and be dead, rather than start working again every time you disconnect the battery for a couple of mins...

i took mine out and it would spray fuel and spin with 12v running..
I have a spare thanks Andy... changed it a couple of years ago chasing a problem and made no difference so will put the other one back.. Thanks anyway!
dont know if its of any help to you, but I had a car that did exactly the same thing (granada cosworth), after weeks of swearing and replacing bits, it was an immobilizer problem. I ended up bypassing it (when I say 'I', I mean the mechanic i got to do it) and it ran like a dream again.
