7A lost all power and doesn't start anymore

Hi, I got a 7A coupe, the car ran weird since I had it. When I was pushing full throttle it felt like it was losing power and if I let my foot off a bit it would push even more. The car was a bit hard to start and was sometimes worse when it got hot. I've got a 034 motorsport turbo kit on it which I've pushed to 12-13 psi with bigger injectors, a boost controler and an intercooler. I've also installed an AEM wideband to check the Air/Fuel ratio and the car was running over 17:1 on idle, when I let off the accelerator it was going even richer so that the wideband couldn't read it at all. Under normal driving condition it was holding to 14-15:1 and at WOT it would go back to 10:1 which is the least the sensor could read. After a little ride, when I was about to get home, the car suddenly lost all of it's power, it felt like I was driving my hold 8v Jetta. I turned it off and since then it just won't start at all. The car cranks, the pump is working too, I didn't get any spark tho. I tried changing the crank sensor and it wasn't the problem. I've read that it would be the distributor gear that could have broke, I then disassembled the cap to see if the rotor was turning and he is ok. What else can it be?

can you turn the rotor while the engine is not spinning, i.e has the locating lug snapped on the rotor arm?
Are there any white residue or cracks/splits in the rotor?

id change it anyway to be fair, and is the carbon bush in the middle of the dizzy cap in good condition?

You say it was 17:1 and when you let off it went even richer ?? !! 17:1 is very lean not rich.
10:1 is very rich, based on this it would seem you could have an air leak, as it is lean off boost as un metered air is getting in and rich on boost as metered air is escaping.

Ill have a look, that would prevent the engine to start? The rotor is intact

I've checked for air leak, nothing seems bad... Can't believe I've put over 10G for this piece of ****.

When I turn the key without cranking the car the voltage gauge shows 12v, when I crank it it goes down to 8-9, I've read that a bad starter would be causing this. Someone has a clue?

If its lean off the throttle and rich on boost then you have an air leak. You need to pressure test the inlet tract with an airline, it should hold at least 1 Bar for a minute or so.

Leftfield thinking, Or a bad earth, check the engine strap and battery earth.

Could also be a knackered battery from a failed alternator Got a jump box?

                          No spark at all ?

broken flywheel pin, faulty distributor (hall sender) or faulty ignition amplifier are possibles.

                          Any fault codes ?

Flywheel pin is ok, battery is brand new and I've tried recharging it. It still won't start, it may be the distributor. I don't have the tool to find the codes and well, no CEL appears tho.

If its 100% spark loss you need to see if its getting fed power (5v) to the distributor and a good earth, then if all is good then a pulse from the Hall sensor.

This may help, you may find burnt/chaffed wiring or simply a dirty optic gap that is oily
