    2.2l e85, hp goal 800hp, wich turbo?

want as good spool up as possible for reasonable money, ball-bearing is a must.

looked a bit at garret gt40r, is there more or better alternatives(not precision turbos)

800 bhp for reasonable money and you want good spool? this sounds like a "dream"

At this power level spool goes out the window. Your looking at a Holset HX52, Garrett or Compturbo but there is a lot of engine work that needs to be done to support this.

reasonable money is around up to 1500 euros, and good spool up is between 4000-4500rpm at max boost(something like 2.6-3bar?) and of course i understand that its alot of engine work to support it, but just looking at the turbo its not a road car, its a urquattro for the track(norwegian tracks

With a 2.2 your looking at ~5000 before you hit that kind of boost with an 800hp turbo I'm afraid.

Crank or whp? I've driven a 712whp 2.2l that had a power band from about 4-8k.

yes max boost, but the earlier the better if possible, but also how fast it spools when hitting the throttle, the "responce" of the turbo is important. i see the quote below talks about a powerband between 4-5k rpms, that sounds very good if possible

by the way, the goal is around 800 crank hp, around 600whp+

                      My mistake, 612whp HTA3582r..

                      [YOUTUBE] does not work... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kQJS71ZRdc

I'm sure it does not make 600 from 4-8k but at 4k it is cooking and things are moving fast!

I would think with an HTA3586r or a GTX35 you would be pushing towards 800 on E85 with good spool up.

If you are going to run E85 all the time then you can go for very high compression which would help with the spool.

                              KRB run 10.6 compression
