    Ecu

    Hi prj,

Can I just remove my ABY ECU, remove the two chips, fit two IC base and then just plug the two reprogrammed IC's or is there more to it than that.

(I am very capable of doing electronic work)

I would rather purchase two chips than post my ECU half way around the world and trust the postal service to keep it safe.

Plus I have the additional benefit of retaining the original IC's.

It's an ABY with RS2 turbo, RS2 exhaust manifold and RS2 injectors, everything else
      is stock.

There is more to it, resistor change and sensor change.
If you can do SMD soldering and through-hole desoldering, I could send you MAP sensor, resistor and instructions.
I am not looking for support nightmares though...

Actually I do have a better fuel pump as well just to be safe, the stock ABY fuel pump once old and tired is probably not up to the job.

It's 370hp on a hot day, a little more when it cool.

Nice. That's good then, got one of them. Now need the rest. Is there a turbo like the rs2 that is similar that might not have been ragged as much???

I agree support nightmares are not good.

I am not like that, if I do it and I make a mistake its my problem anyway SMD is one that I do not do I am old school.

                        Will pm you

I have a Sachs motorsport pressure plate and sintered disc with a single mass flywheel, but there are plenty of people running tuned RS2 power with the stock ABY clutch.
