None of us have had personal experience on these turbos and to quote what happens in other engines is meaningless.

So all of us can do a google search and find out what those turbos are capable of. That doesnt mean that a turbo on engine A will do the same on engine B, simply because the engines are different and their ability to use the flow of the turbo is different.

Hence, since these turbos have NOT to my knowledge been tested in the I5, who knows what they can do?

I have seen GTX3071 with 0.63AR do 550-570hp crank on 4cyl audi engines on S3 2002 model but run at 2.5bar boost. On those engines you can keep the boost high up as EGTs are not an issue. And on 2 cars i already know, the cyl. heads were stock, not ported. I actually measured one with the perf.box and excel, giving it around 535-540hp and a huge torque as well.

My experience tells me that the 0.63AR on the GTX3071 will give a nice spool but will choke on the top end due to the high EGTs, and therefore you will have to reduce the boost.

To use a GTX3076R with a .82AR i would only guess, that you may end up making slightly more than the GT3076 with better midrange, but i dont know what will happen to the top end.

if it were me, using a GT3076R turbo at the moment, i could potentialy swap it to a GTX3071R with same 0.63AR and not lose any power but also make a bit of spool.

As I said there is very contraversial information over the web..... Some are very happy with the GTX3076r, some say that there is small differnce like 15~20whp, some like Jamo says that it's not good at all. I'm happy with the car and no issue with the turbo, this upgrade will be just happy coincidence and this never ending itch for upgrades

Gtx3576r I'm afraid will be to much like power and lag for me and the pice range is different

Gtx3071r i guess will perform less than my gt3076r may be I will receive a bit more response sacrificing the top end.

The GTX3071 will make more power and have faster spool then your GT3076,

        GT3076 ~525 HP

        GTX3071 ~550 HP and quicker spool !

You get ~10hp per pound of air if you are doing well, if you look at the compressor map you will see that over 550 is not really possible, it doesn't matter what
engine cc is, a turbo can only flow X amount of air.

Garrett list it as 525hp for ref, I know more is possible than what they quote but not that much.

              Yeah,can be.

But the two times that this engine was measured optimist or not it did 608 hp first and 570/580 now, with the same setup.don't ask me why

              Ask Prj ,he calculated it

Rocco, you have a monster engine to make that power. Its not everyday stock or lightly ported engines.

Second time it made 451.6whp and 680nm of torque on 2.1bar LINK ecu and upgraded WG and 100oct. fuel.

It has 4 starts on 1/4 mile and with soft driving( it's my baybe I didn't want to destroy it) it has 11.7s and terminal 198km/h - which is prety good considering this is street car with full interior plus few updates like rs4 seats and only 1 is arround 60kg maybe. With more agressive driving and few kg down I think it might push to 10.8s maybe even 10.5s - but as I said this is street car and I'm not intested going over the limits.

Evem that day it made record on 60ft - 1.6s no launch just old feshion start from 5600rpm's pure driver skills

as steet car it has 2 setups - 1.4bar and mad mode 2.1bar only in rear cases when 1.4 is not enough for punishment of M3, AMG drivers but usually is enough
If you ever give time lower than 11.4sek with this setup (Street) and this turbine - GT3076, I no longer bother with tuning ......
Sorry but times like 10.5 even 10.8 - 11.00sec with Street car and GT 3076 are in deep deep dreams....
                  Good luck.

using an ET calculator 525 hp and 1550kg
should get you ~ 10.9 seconds, 600hp would give ~10.4 seconds

Me too (with My car), but You will need something more than "a bit more hp" in Bulgaria.
You will need up more than 150 engine HP from now (GT3076) - starting with GT 3582 1.06 a/r or better GT4094....
