Aquamist HFS3 in my Audi S2

well , i have fitted this system in my S2.

does someone here uses a system like this in his cars?

what are the main advantages? firstly,i am going to use it " as a cooler" ..without remapping the car...

depending of the aquamist jets flow , how many degrees less can cool the IAT?

and about tuning.... for what reason can you map the same engine with much more agressive spark timing? only because the lower IAT´s? or does it have high octane anti knocking features aswell?

according with what PRJ said me, is it possible to add +15/20% of the normal power in an engine with 98 octane fuel? and the spool up the turbo would be better true? because the more agressive timing once mapped properly...

i would like to read your own experiences guys

If you run it on 100% water it will just cool the inlet air, if you add methanol it will increase the octane rating and help prevent knock. I run mine on 25% meth / 75% water. Mine's a 'Devil's Own' so I can't really help with set up or nozzle size.

Using mine with a stock engine with homefry and using a 0.4mm nozzle but intend to go up to 0.5mm once upgraded block etc fitted and then mapped to suit. Run mine on around 30% meth mix

only water? in the HFS3 instructions says that running only water or 100% meth can damage the pump...and bye bye warranty

a little os cheap meth is always good to avoid knocking

        thanks for share

The way I understand it is that octane rating is a fuels ability to combust without ignition. Therefore adding water as a cooling affect decreases the chance of it pre igniting, effectively raising the octane level. Obviously adding meth too further increases this.

I am in the process of fitting water injection to run on my 1.8t am considering running it on just water, I have also been told you can run an alcohol based screen wash with good results too.

Hope to have engine built and fitted ready for its 6 month period on the road next April, but need to run in first so could be this time next year....

              Both statements are completely incorrect.
Methanol cools much better than water, and water adds octane rating as well.

Performance wise it is the best to run 100% meth, as that will give the best cooling and octane boost, but it is potentially dangerous to do so.

And 100% water or methanol may damage the pump as the manual says.you have to run both mixed in different percentages.

Also the aquamist jets has to be installed the far as possible to the throttle body and after the ic to approach the cooling effect and benefit of the methanol

And also better with both jets separated by 3" to 8"...

My doctor said that its best to take it out on you instead of the pills.
                      I'm just following advice.

So for this instance lets just agree which is the language that we have all agreed to speak, and therefore be precise on what we say. Saves misunderstandings.

                            Flame proof no doubt.

Didn't mean to offend, just this "water for cooling meth for octane" thing is one of the most common myths with meth injection.
In reality pure alcohol/methanol is much better for both cooling the air charge and for raising the octane rating.
The reason it is mixed with water is to make it less corrosive and safe. Pure methanol burns with a flame that is basically invisible to the naked eye, and it is VERY flammable.

Water has both properties - increasing the effective octane rating and cooling, but it is not as effective at both, as alky.
That's why there is not much point to run methanol injection when you run on E85 for example.
