You may be ok if the cap doesn't leak boost. Unfortunately, the wastegate is only available as a complete unit and that's megabux. I'd strip it down and try to replace the broken stud.
Exactly the same happened to me. I had luck I could get hold on a old wastegate complete with cap, cooling etc for 10 euro. I took two studs out and replaced them. Maybe I have some studs left.
Getting everything sorted out for my 5++ hp project
OK now softly softly, dont just try to undo the stud with mole grips, you want to soak that baby in Plus Gas for a while first, then go easy, if it doesn't just twist out you could try a LITTLE heat from a butane torch, dont melt the alloy.. remember to hook the diaphragm out of the way of the flame!! If it doesn't come leave it to soak a bit more.
