That is a modified 7A cam cover, if I remember correctly. Should be possible if you sort out the PCV system ventilation system that involved the ABY cam cover in at least two ways.

ok so i need to adapt the breather system but otherwise it just bolts on? no difference in length of coils etc

Nope I think the holes need boring out and milling down a touch. Have a look in Hamish's build thread I'm sure he posted details

IIRC AndyP has also done this to his 7A cam cover

You will need to mill out the spark plug holes and add a takeoff on the cover for the crankcase breather. I used the old breather from my 3B head and moved it over onto the 7A. Angus sorted the milling for me

Hy! It looks strange to me....i installed the coils on top of the 3B cam cover...and they are allmost flush with the cover. The 7A plug wires are longer than the 3B ones...How, in the pictures..the coils are higher from the 7A cover than they look at my engine with 3B cover... Are those fitted right into the plugs?
