Don't bother if you want an RS2 one as it it a standard Maf. It has the tea strainer mesh in it. According to my schoolboy German, someone has already pointed out it is "nicht" (not) an RS2 one.

There are 5 or 6 legs within the MAF connector and a certain value can be measured between certain legs at iddle and at rpm. If no one here on the forum knows these and its needed, than I ask my man to give me the pages with the data and you can do it with a simple multimeter. Its not adjustable, though, so if its wrong.....

I think I found the problem. I stuck the emmisions tester in the exhaust and it was running at 5% CO at idle I checked the O2 sensor voltage and it seemed OK, but whilst fiddling with the sensor wire the CO dropped back to 1% (as it should with no cats). I am fairly certain that its the O2 sensor at fault so i have changed it today for one that i had 'in stock'. Will report what its like latter

Everything is good!!! I swapped it over and im now getting 0.8% CO at idle. The sensor i used is an old one and a bit 'lazy' but it working OK for now
