Proper boost leak test is essential.

Check when your fuel filter was last changed, that's a good place to look too.

The thing is round here there is nobody that can do a boost leak test kit has lent his forum one and can!t remember who. And the fuel filter don!t think it!s been done since the car was built.

Andy I don!t suppose you can do a boost leak test I can travel to bristol
I will get a fuel filter and change it asp. If you can let me know when convenient.

I can just send you the test kit if you like, save you the fuel? You can do it with a hand / foot pump and it'll show up a big leak but best with something that can generate some more pressure.
