3B to AAN or ADU info

Sorry to hijack, but is there a good guide anywhere to convert a 3B to coils?

You need to start by acquiring an AAN or ABY ECU. Then there are wiring diagrams to help with the swap. Here are two examples from Paul N. (S2Central.net):

You poor guys. I paid US$88 including shipping for five of these. Available at about $16 each plus shipping. No idea why you aren't getting prices like that in the UK.

I have a set of these (06E-905-115-E ) and I find them alittle to tall for the cam cover when located into the top of a plug. Is there another part number that is better suited?

There is taller and shorter ones, yes. The longer are for TFSI engines and shorter for 1.8T. There is a red color short coil available, the part number was in some thread here, can't find it right now.

You do not want to run these coils under any cover (IMHO) period. It will kill them due to heat, sooner, not later.
