Oil will raise any numbers big or low if rings/bores are gone.
Oil will not raise any numbers(low or big)if valves are leaking.
This engines use to wear bores more than rings. But i guess a valve problem is your problem.I explained some time ago that 0.3mm bore wear resulted 10-to 12 bar comp at hot.So compresion test will not prove rings or bores. It will prove more valve wear.
I am also sure that bore wear will be more than 0.03-0.05mm.So be prep to overbore if you open engine and rebuild head/leaking valves. Also change valve guides.
