    Low boost on rs2 setup

Evening lads, any suggestions on this ? Spec:

Rs turbo, manifold, injectors, inter cooler, air box ,3 inch full system with only 1 silencer high boost chips (1.9 bar) , 3bar vmap and r201 resistor mod on ecu, samco hoses and new vacuum lines. I tested the ecu in ather car and it went really well

Car was boost leak tested recently and found a leaky tb hose, adjusted and instantly improved boost from 1.3 to 1.5 bar. I say 1.5 bar, but that is a struggle...the boost gauge flickers and you feel the car holding back.

Other faults are: oil pressure warning comes on, I know it's the switch and will be fitting my new one as soon as I find time.i know they would appear unrelated but could this be contributing ? Nothing shows when put on a scanner

My main question is (if we assume the the boost system is airtight ) could this be electrical at all ? Maybe wgfv even though it appears to be quite new, maybe fuel pump related as its still on a stock s2 pump

    Any help appreciated

Check if you have the same injectors , fuel pressure regulator . Is good to have new spark plugs and Good ignition coils.
Try to compare your car's setup with the car in which you tested your ECU .

And please check you PMs !

Whip the top of the wastgate and feel for play in the wastgate valve.

This was what was wrong with mine, I recently found

Yes exactly the same, but mine was intermittent one day it would do 1 bar the next 1.2, then the next 0.7 bar and now with another wastegate it's 1.6 all the time

It had hardly any from the top with the wastegate lid off but once of the car the valve seat fell out and the valve had approx 8 to 10 mm of movement side to side

Am I just being stupid here but I just remembered when I put my waste gate back on the car, whilst lowering it onto the 4 studs the cap from the underside kept falling out. I had to hold my fingers under it until it was almost back on the manifold. It came out like that. Should that be connected to the shaft ? It would sit in the bottom of the waste gate and is very sooty.
Thinking about it the cars I've broken recently never had it fall out. Il have a look today

No not connected to anything. It acts as a seat for the wg valve to close against. If it didn't come out you could not get the valve out

If the fuel pump is the original S2 one and it is not relayed, you'll do no harm at all swopping in a 044 pump. The original pump will be way outside it's comfort zone / ability with old age and the higher RS2 spec.

Looking forward to hearing what the cure is when it's found.

                          Kind regards.
