Fuel pump connection inside the fuel tank

    Hello all,

I have to replace a failed fuel pump on my 1991 Coupe S2.

There is a short piece of electrical wiring - 2 wires actually - that connect the pump itself to the underside of the round fuel tank cover (that is, this electrical wiring is inside the fuel tank).

Now, the old pump had these two wires soldered directly onto it, while the new pump has another type of connection (like the one on the attached picture), where there are supposed to be small nuts to hold the wires in place.

Can this piece of wiring (to fit the new pump) be found separately? Does it have a part number?

I hope my explanation makes sense.

    Thanks for your help.

Just cut the old wire (or de-solder it) and crimp connectors to the end and fit to your new pump just make sure you wire it so it pumps and don't blow

What I did I just cut the old wires off and twisted them around new terminals and tightened the nuts over them... But I would like to change that in the near future so that I have a reliable connection in the fuel tank...

No ideas on where to buy that part? I can not find the part number in ETKA...

      Thanks!
