    Doug,
that is the standard plate in the photo I just cut the metal pipe off and had the JIC weld nipple welded on, I don't know if you can get them anywhere already made up, I doubt it .
But its not really hard to do, all you need is a friendly welder and a hacksaw and file .

Cheers for all the help - the deal has been done and Mihnea, as ever, been really helpful and going to supply me with a nice new turbo

All I have to do is get it all plumbed in for Castle Combe

Mark - I sent you message earlier regarding your fuel pump and regulator - Did you get it?

              I'm getting one of Mihnea's K26/K27/K29 Racing Turbo's

I'm hoping for 420bhp, non-con-rod bending torque, but we'll see what else Mihnea can get out of it

Yes - staying with the RS2 EM - I think this is the limiting factor in the power of my car now. If I was to change the EM, there would be a lot more work to get it all to fit.

Does it mean this hybrid uses k29 cold side (or maybe a k27 impeller on a k29 housing) ?
Do anyone have a compressor map for such a setup?

Mihnea, what sort of cost is one of those bad boy turbos?? How does a k29 housing clear the RS2 EM?? My 27 is only about 3mm away from it.

No compressor map for it unfortunately but it is a:

K26#8 hot side bolted on a
K27 cold side housing with a
                        K29 compressor wheel inside.

The bearing housing has a 360 degree thrust bearing for increased strength, and the same turbo with a K26#9 hot side bolted onto a SQ or MTM EM (the #9 housing is the one that bolts right up to those EM flanges) can easily do 560 HP!

The boost curve should be 1.95-2.0 Bar overboost, falling to 1.7 at 6000 and maximum 1.5 at 7000. Torque should be 540-ish and HP about 420-possibly more.

What would upgrade cost be to someone like myself. Can my old turbo be machined to accept larger wheel? Or would you consider part-ex.

Tom, the housing clears the RS2 EM the same as your K27 housing, because it is the same or thereabouts! Only the compressor wheel is a K29 and the cold side housing has been machined to accept it! The K26#8 hot side apparently already gives 0.7 Bar at 3k RPM and full kick in the *** is there by 4k. Regular sale price is about 1700-2000 Euro, but I have better conditions
