Here is the code that came up.
00513 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28)Comment

You will always get that code when the codes are pulled on an engine that is not rotating/running. Usually the G28 code is a false positive and can be ignored. Certainly don't run out and buy a new sensor until all other avenues have been explored, e.g. testing and/or replacing your fuel pump in this case.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

Will check fuel pump when iv got time as it seems the most logical having no codes present, iv just gone and bought the hall sender from Tps £159.12 with my discount
So that's most of the sensors, pipes and plastic bits bought now just need to fit them all.

Alternative G40 Cam Position Sensor Sources
I seriously don't understand why people, who are not in a desparate need for a G40 Cam Position Hall Sender, don't buy just the sender for US$10 (plus shipping) from EFI Express. To buy the factory sender on the bracket for significant money and then go
, makes me shake my head (sorry).
It's not like this should be a surprise to anyone here. There is a sticky about this and there have been one or two group buys in the past.
Where to buy:

There is a secondary code with it as well, which is important.
The hall sensor is always diagnosed by the ECU, and if there is no fault code for that then it's a waste of time and money replacing it.
Anyway, I'll sit back and watch for a bit.Comment

Well checked the fuel feed this morning nothing coming through to the rail. So i stripped out the tank replaced with a pump that was working when i took it out of a 3b i broke and no joy wondering now if it could be the relay if so where is it situated. And took the advice from some peeps on here and cancelled the order for hall sender.Comment

I have just tested the pumps and they are both working and the car started run for 20 seconds and then died, tried starting it again no joy but it's now trying to start where as before it just turned over with the odd splutter. So it's fuel related seems to be the problem. I have checked for power to the injectors all ok. I have also noticed a hissing sound coming from the back of engine bay like if it's leaking air is this normal.Last edited by bilko0795; 5 June 2013, 11:55.Comment

J17 Fuel Pump Relay info
It still might be the Hall Sender but at least now you won't be spending GBP 158 for one.Well checked the fuel feed this morning nothing coming through to the rail. I am late to the party on the fuel pump relay location but here is some info that might (or might not help, e.g. the 208 FP relay has been replaced by a 372 FP relay when/if you need a new one):

Pumps? What do you mean pumps? Normally there is just one pump. What is your fuel pump situation? Aftermarket set-up?I have just tested the pumps and they are both working and the car started run for 20 seconds and then died, tried starting it again no joy but it's now trying to start where as before it just turned over with the odd splutter. You need to do the Fuel Pump Test as suggested in this post:
