fuel pump Aeromotive Stealth 340 vs Bosch 044 vs others

Do you have an experience with this fuel pump?My oem fuel pump doesnt work so good , so i decided to buy a "powerfull" pump to my cq20v,when the next year (if everythin go well) i want to rebuild my 7A engine. So maybe a coupe months i run car with oem power and oem injectors, until the engine will be ready.
So do you have experience with this solution? And i i mount a new "performance" fuel pump, could be there a problem with oem power?

I am choosing btw Aeromotive and Bosch 044 or others.Aeromotive is cheaper and the power numbers is +- almost same.Another question is, any problems with fitting Aero in the tank?Somewhere i read about 044 fit to tank, and with a little bit work,it fits almost perfectly.

    Any experience?

    Thanks

044 is old skool, noisy and not really designed for in tank use. I've got one and whilst it works great and is easy to install into an S2, newer alternatives are smaller, more efficient and much quieter.

I've taken some advice and will post up some alternatives to the 044 later. The experts did say that the 044 is mega reliable though, just damn noisy...

But, isn't a problem with fitting some other fuel pumps, than 044 in tank??OK,i will wait.

If all you are doing is playing with a normally aspirated 7A, the maximum you are going to get is probably around 200 hp. The stock pump will be fine. I am running a stock 8A0906091G on an RS2'd AAN making around 360 hp. Admittedly this is the upper limit for this pump but it is a long way above what you will need. I did relay the pump directly to the battery so I got about 1V more at the pump which helps. You have no need of a 044 pump that is capable of 450 hp. Waste of your money.

Yeah, that's just it. It's very subjective just how noisy an 044 pump appears to be.
Each of our cars is different, some noisier than others. My car is not far off OEM sound wise, which is why I reckon I can hear how noisy the damn 044 pump really is. There's zero exhaust resonance and just a nice sound, which ain't too loud.

Not bad for a full 3" de-catted system! [Milltek cat back with a Chris Tullett custom built removable silencer in place of the 100 cell race cat]

Here's a sound recording using my phone. Engine is running throughout. First 30secs is inside, doors shut taken from drivers seat. 43 seconds in I've got out, opened the boot and placed the phone above the fuel pump on the boot carpet, 102 onwards is outside by the rear right wheel.

You can hear the pump throughout, most noticeable from 43-102 seconds. This is with a FULL fuel tank!

The fuel pump specialist I spoke to recommended one of these pumps to replace the 044 as they're a more modern design and much quieter in operation. They're also designed for in tank use. Specifically, the 450 one for my car due to the power level. He also pointed out the thick sound sleeve that makes them even quieter that is safe to use in tank. The only challenge is making them fit the fuel pump basket or fabbing up something similar.
