    Turbo nightmares!!

I have yet again managed to furbar another turbo!!!!
Something as been through the hot side nackered the wheel and housing by the looks of it!! Looks like its been done for alittle while now not fresh looking.

So do I look into getting it repaired? Which i can see going to be dear! Or
New turbo, but what?? I can't afford a Garrett! Maybe holset? I am in the mine field of turbos again!!!!

I am running a Wagner rs evo t3 manifold and wanting over 500bhp

And you want it cheap as well! That is not always a good way to go. I hope you find what you need. If you don't care.about lag a holset hx40 would be ok. Otherwise for less than 500 the hx35 is more for everyday

HX40 Super with 16cm2 hotside will be similar in spoolup to your current turbo.

Holset hx35 with that k26/8 you have somewhere
should make your wanted 500 easy.
Prj is the man to speak. If i remember right i been offered brand spanky new for 400 450gbp.
Maybe that was your problem at mrc? Low boost?

HX35 will not make 500hp "easy".
HX35 Super with 9cm2 hotside needs meth injection, E85 or race gas to reach 500hp.

HX40 Super will make 500hp, but it spools 600 rpm later.

What's the damage like on the compressor wheel and housing? If you loose any of the fine wire gauze from a K&N it will make a mess of the wheel. Does it look like something small or a larger foreign object??

It's the hot side wheel which has been thrashed!!
I am going to remove spark plugs and have alook at them and also carry out a compression test on all cylinders late. I really hope the compression test shows all is ok inside!!
