Its quite fun launching it, can build up 0.6bar boost and will spin the wheels
Get the fluid changed NOW. Please don't launch it any more if you want to keep the auto box before you switch to manual.

Haha I hate the auto, they take so much away from it, just searching for a 3.89 01e so I don't have to change the diff

        I don't think 01E's came in 3.89:1 (35/9), only 4.11:1 (37/9). 01A's came in 3.89:1.

          Yes, except the Allroad 01E.

            Got me.

            However, the Allroad 6 spds were 35/8 crown/pinion = 4.375:1. Even further from 3.89:1.

Ok, so IIRC it is the Allroad TDI 01E.
Super hard to find, apparently. I know there is one 01E that is 3.89:1.
              Popdemonic has one, I believe.

Don't think so. Pop got his conversion parts, including the transmission and rear diff (IIRC) from "Brad" in the US of A, so 4.11:1.

Not sure about allroad TDI's. None in NAmerica.

                Just went through the available allroad transmission listings 2000-2007. 2000-2005 (no 2006 listings) = 01E 35/8. You do get a 37/9 (4.11:1) in 2007 but it is a 02X trans, not 01E.

There are a couple of 3.89 codes. They were used in 2.5tdi a4s

                    I see lots of A4Q 01As with 35/9 (3.89) and a few 5 spd 01As with 37/9 (4.11:1). Then there are the B5 S4 6 spds but they are 01Es.

                    What I don't see is any A4Q 01Es with 35/9 (3.89:1).

                    I could be blind.

Didn't find any ftl or fmt. But I did find a FTM, 01E300048EX, with 35/9 for a 2004 A4Q. Not sure if that would fit a C4 chassis.
