Audi Tradition had them in stock a couple of weeks ago, but now they report out of stock condition. I would send them an email and ask if they when they will be available.
The two pulley's difference in rotational speeds is controlled by the difference in the number of teeth on the gears. Once the belt is correctly tensioned the two pulleys are connected by a fixed distance and their rotations are locked together by this fixed distance. For every tooth the drive pulley moves, so does the driven pulley.
If belt length affected timing then if one belt was a micron (0.001mm) longer than another, for every 1000 revolutions the timing would drift by 1mm!
The only reason the RS2 belt is shorter is to make it a better fit. I am sure there is enough adjustment in the tensioner to use a normal AAN belt with 1 tooth more.

The reason for it being shorter is the wheel on the water pump that has less teeth (higher speed) than on the other 2.2engines.
A little sidetrack. I've heard that many change the pump/belt because of the pump making "foam" in the cooling fluid when it's driven on track. Anyone ever experienced this with a stock setup and done the convention to a bigger waterpump pulley?
Will definitely send Audi Tradition an email and see when/if they're going to get more into stock.
Otherwise might have to use the bigger belt and water pump.
The tensioner might take up the slack of the bigger belt but not sure I want to risk it without changing the water pump too.
Thanks again, will let you know what/if Audi reply.

Throw the Gates part# on Google and find it mate. Thanks Dave(UrS4boy) for the infos.
Just an update on the belt issue.
Jumped on Audi Tradition to email them and low and behold the belt is back listed as in stock, as well as the water pump too.
So I've ordered both and crossed my fingers
