    A6 Question for Audi mechanics

Has anyone changed a rad in an A6 tdi, 1999, AFN, climate.?
I assume dismantle as per timing belt (front off) but does air con rad swing out of way to enable removal of coolant rad?
Any help greatly appreciated as I am going to be doing this on Saturday.
    Cheers,
    Chris

Yes the AC rad is on rubber hoses and should swing out the way. You will have to place bumper into 'service mode', but the AC rad should just hang in there whilst you swap the coolant rad.

Hi Tom, Thanks for the confirmation. Did a '99 Passat a few months back but that was a pd tdi and was unsure about mine.
Have employed a small mate to get his fingers in to the 10mm bolts down the side of the bumper!!!
Saves my big mits getting damaged!

            Thanks again Tom,
New rad fitted,G12 A/freeze, also changed auxillary tensioner whilst I was there as it was starting to crack up!
P/S cooler and A/C rad swung out of the way nicely.
            Cheers,
            Chris

Good work dude. Those tensioners are always failing. I have changed quite a few of them.
