One question about stroker builds, have you guys who build strokers ever needed to grind of material from the bottom of the bore so the rods have enough room to turn over with the crank? Seems that in my build the rods made contact with the bottom bore step, so I need to grind of some material there.
Yes that's normal. Also I use cap head head bolts too.

They are just normal cap head bolts 12.9 grade you can get from most bolt suppliers.

..... hmmmmm, I'm about to start to build second stroker and was thinking about this alternative with head bolts instead of ARP studs

but still in a big big doubt ...

Thuppu, are you going to use girdle on your stroker ?

Yes, just like des told, many different suppliers of these bolts. They should be just ok, as M12 12.9 can tolerate 154Nm torque, more than enough. BTW des, what torque do you use in your build? I was thinking of 110-115Nm.

Sailaz, yes I'm going to use girdle. Propably won't need it and quite hard to shimm all bearing cap spacers but I already have everything waiting to be fitted.

Then 'natural' question : have you made your choice for main (girdle) studs ?
