I took the advice given on this forum a few years back and have used 10w 50 Fuchs Titan Pro S every 5k miles since (ADU)
Sometimes needs a top up between 4-4.5k miles but uses very little, engine now on 162k (miles).
Just had an oil and filter change and literally just back from a 420 mile round trip and it's running lovely, flew back up the motorways, hardly any traffic....rare these days!Comment

Lots of views as always, I gotta say had 5-30 in for 6 months all pressures correct no noise no oil use seems to run fine on it but have changed to 5-40 now.

I use 10w/50 Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S in my motor and I can't fault it. Tried the Millers 10w/50 CFS one oil change ago and the car started smoking on startup. Swapped back to Pro S again and absolutely no smoking. Strange as you would think the oil viscosity would potentially cause the issue and they should be the same...91 Modded 3B

Strange one that, not sure why or how the Millers oil would particularly cause that issue. The CFS and Pro S are both a PAO/Ester group V oil, and I've used CFS in my last two 5-pot turbo's with no problems whatsoever, quite the reverse actually.I use 10w/50 Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S in my motor and I can't fault it.
