    hi guys

I've had it running and everything seems ok good oil pressure and idles fine but have some tappet noise so didn't want to run it to long.
I ran it for what felt like 5-10min it didn't get that hot could it be the running in oil I'm using, its mineral 15w40

It can take several short starts up's and cool downs before the lifters settle down, so give it another try, you really want it to run until the fan kicks in the first time as long as there's no problems which require the engine to be shut off. 15W40 will most likely be fine for running in but I found Fuch's 10W50 fully synthetic to be an excellent oil for these engines.

          use proper running in oil.

medium load thern let the engine brake.

you may find the big turbo makes it run a bit iffy. drags to much air. regulate throttle to stop stalls.

as pair of tights were my filter till i got the maf off and vems on
