Urquattro 20v missing on full load help

I first thought this was a boost leak but took a friend out in it and he said it was missing, Iv had this problem since Iv bought it and the owner before had the same.
Iv put new ngk plug, changed the coil, dizzy cap and arm and full service still the same, the owner before had put magnor core leads I think they are called, are these any good? Has anybody had any experience with these leads? I don't want to change them if they are ok. Also I have a second hand dizzy that I can swap, do these fail often? Any help would be great as this can't be good for the engine thanks

The boost leak makes them miss and hesitate (well it did on my ABY so just going by that)

Seeing as you've replaced most of the ignition system it would be worth taking as look at the injector plugs, the pink insulation inside can go brittle inside and cause all manner of random misfires.

Really the first thing you need to do is pull the fault codes.

I can post you a basic fault code reader on the understanding you return in within a couple of weeks, if you need. Assuming yours has the same 2x2 set up as the S2.

Maybe yes but depends on the UR back box

I am not 100% sure but do believe it does not have it - the 3B didn't have it and the engine is the same as 20V UR. I had the set up done on my 3B loom by Paul at S2Central so faults can be read.

My 3B, and I believe all others have it.

By 2x2 I mean these plugs either in the fuse box (like the ABY) or in the drivers footwell, like the 3B -

I'm 99% sure the OP's car has these.

You can attach to wires from Motronic connector if you can't find needed plugs or these doesn't exist.

What plug gap did you set? I had the same problem and it would not stop misfiring until the gap was 0.5mm.

When you find it it will be something straight forward, start with the basics is ignition or fuel related..

From an ignition point of view if it's under load it will be on the HT side not generally LT side. Check your coil, distributor cap and coil to cap lead.

From a fuel point of view, when was the fuel filter last changed? I would do a flow test on the fuel return pipe. Undo it and place it in an old coke bottle etc, apply 1 bar of air pressure to the pressure pipe/nipple on the FPR and crank for 15 seconds (disable the coil so it won't start) x the quantity you have by four and it would want to be circa 2 litres.

Unfortunately RR's don't help much in way of fault codes.
