Help moving altinator for bigger intercooler on ur quattro
Help moving altinator for bigger intercooler on ur quattro
Hi guys what is needed to swap my altinator to the other side of my engine in my audi ur Ur quattro rr 20v so that I can fit my larger intercooler in the original position? I believe there is an s2 or rs2 engine with it running on the passenger side,
why not running a ic at the front? you can put there a bigger one than on the origional place!
here are a few forum members with a front ic

The 3B set up is the same as the RR set up I believe? They are still on the passenger side it just uses a V belt not a multi v or ribbed belt like the ABY.

The bracket I've got is the same as the one in Andy's pic, you'll need a 3B belt and you'll also have to reroute some unfused live wires which must be done with care.

To squeeze a front mount into a UR you need to put in a 6 speed box to pull the engine back a few mm and delete the aux rad so not too easy. Or fit the rally style grill that sticks out a foot. Also unless you have a reverse manifold you're left with a lengthy intake system.
