What's this strange noise

I heard this when testing the car for boost leak. The car was fine no leaks just this noise when 10 psi was reached also tested the vac lines all ok but the car still running lumpy and boost leak type symptoms no boost above 0.3 bar could it be n75 causing this.

Sounds like Donald Duck is trapped in your wastegate

Sorry I can't add anything more constructive, but I've never heard that before.

Sounds like the noise you get when you blow through a piece of grass in between your thumbs, know what I mean?
So I'd say it might be blowing across a gasket surface

Have you checked the wastegate diaphragm and all the gaskets?

wastegate diaphragm is broken. 99% , and ofcourse that your car dont have boost !

When leaktesting my system, i have the exact same noice. It has to be the wg?
Is there a place to buy the wg diaphragm?

If wastegate diaphragm is split you would surely get too much boost as wastegate will not open. (unless it's in limp mode I guess)

Can you localise the noise at all?

Disconnect waste gate hose and bung with bolt. Re test.

Yes, you will get to much boost pressure. I have the same "leak noise", and having problems getting pressure down.

I'm getting little boost , when you first start the car after it's been standing a few hours it runs really lumpy tick over at 400 rpm when I pull of the car starts kangarooing at 10/15 mph when you drive on open road it pulls ok but won't boost past 0.3 bar when I park up the rpm is on 1400 and doesn't drop I'm also using a lot of fuel I did 26 miles on £20 I normally use £30 all week and that's 96 miles. So if it's the wastegate diaphragm the car would over boost? The noise is coming down near the turbo. Would the n75 valve cause these symptoms?

When I tested it I took it up to 15 psi and the pressure dropped quite quickly and doug from Mrc said that was normal and ok couldn't hear no leaking from the main hoses anyway, also checked vac lines by sucking on the hose and my tongue was sticking but changed all the vac lines for silicone ones anyway, my son had a txt from DNA S2 last night saying either wastegate or n75 only just woke up and told me. I am of on my hols tomorrow so will have to wait until I come back.

Attached to inlet hose, with another connection to turbo out hose and one vacuum connection. Small black plastic bosch thingy. Squarks like a trumpet when holed.
