The ADU in the RS2 originally used the 054115105D oil pump from the AAR 10V five cylinder gasoline engine instead of the more common 054115105E that the AAN and ABY use. However, the 054115105D was dropped on Jan.11, 2002 in favour of the AAN/ABY oil pump (the 054115105E). The 3B (and NM and 7A) use a 034115105B oil pump.

Thanks for the link. Re-read the part no on mine, its 054115109B which doesnt match anything! And has no pulley like the 3B. Is there another oil pump which fits an I5 it could be from? It was a refurbed one i exchanged for my old one when the engine was rebuilt.

As the pump has just been refurbed I'm going to try and rescue it, so looking to remove it and send it off for inspection this weekend. I agree it's not worth chancing!

Hmmm...I focused on the 105B part and missed the 054 part (not 034) at the beginning of 054115109B. I can't find it either.

What I meant was my good friend Kate, the friendly parts department girl, says she doesn't know anything about a 054 . However she did say that an Audi 80 with a KV, NG, NM or 7A engine would now use a 034115105A oil pump.

If you have to look on Google just to find a part that Kate doesn't know about anymore, it is likely too old to be using it on your 3B, AAN, ABY or ADU.

Don't think that's a 3B/7A pump, it doesn't have the boss for the idler pulley.
Odd there seem to have been some RS2 part numbers slip the net, I have what i believe is an RS2 water pump with an 074 part number which apparently does not exist (it has the 26 tooth pulley)

Dont use part numbers off the pump itself, they have generic casings and it won't match anything, btdt with the stroker, use etka numbers
