    1.8T? not S2, but.......

Here's a nice project car I'm helping with setting up in Greece, a tuner friend of mine started it but at some point he got stuck, so this is what we have achieved together so far, by remotely tuning that car.

It's an S3 with 1781cc, lower CR, big ports head, FMIC, GT35R and some other goodies (800cc/min injectors)

I betcha it's laggy, but once it goes, OMG...

Nice one Mihnea. You showing off again?
I hope my other half doesn't see that. She'll be getting more ideas! She sounded disapointed when I said you could remap hers to 210/310Nm. The S3 is the eneny.
Maybe I'll give her my K24!

@4WD: lol, I'm trying to educate ppl into knowing that I don't tune S2s only

For your other half's remap, we'll find out what we can do, I've had a couple 180's that did 225HP and 340Nm but not all of them can do it...

My Mum wants her 1.9TDi 130 remapped too. My Dad doesn't though. Not unless you can vastly improve economy.
A3 has got K&N cone filter and SS exhaust with no cats, so far. If you could get it to 211HP she might be happy, just to beat the S3.
Not sure what chip the S2 has. Dreaded code 1111 and a non functioning WGFV, I know that much.

Damn, I'll really have to give you a "family package" deal then?

130 TDI will definitely get better mileage from the remap, especially if it's being used the same as before. Now if your mum and dad use the loud pedal more, it might get the same mileage as before, just go through the miles faster

For the A3, it should definitely do better than 210 HP/310Nm if it has that exhaust with no cats and if the K&N cone has good heat-shielding...

              Cheers,

Good heat shielding. LOL. That reminds me, I really shoud make a proper heat shield. It's got an old prototype from my cq20v on it, hacked to fit!

Billman, my tuner friend is not in Greece, but in Germany. I have also helped him and mapped his own TT in Germany for 350 HP for now, the next step is ~450HP from a GT30R...

Thats gonna shock a few people they try and "play" with it. Those figures are emense for a 1.8T!

You'll make people bankrupt at this rate mihnea in the quest for the biggest output

okay, now I know 605Nm is too much. Crank broke after 2 dyno runs at 605Nm, block is in pieces. This was a stock 1.8T 210HP crank, the guy is happy and not pissed off at all, he's going to rebuild it with a Dahlback/MTM 2.0 crank/bottom end and then it should do about the same power, possibly even a little more with no more worries about longevity. The car takes 8 secs from 100 to 200 km/h on the GPS. So I guess the power/torque figures are about right. Damn, if he hadn't asked me for more torque, the damn thing would still be screaming right now, but oh well, at least someone found out where the limit is on a stock 210HP S3 crank...
