1111 - Sign of the devil

I was wondering if the WGFV or TPS is unplugged, or for that matter anything else that the ECU controls, should it register with an appropriate blink code? If it should it doesn't. Not even getting 2111 with ignition on and engine off. Just 1111.

Is it worth pulling the ECU fuse to clear the fault codes and trying again?

Still haven't managed to do a proper check of the ECU with VAG-COM, thats next weeks task. Hopefully that'll shed some light on things.

Angus, IMHO 1111 on an RS2 ECU will mean a faulty checksum calculation in either of the chips. We can check that out when I do your car if you want, unless the chips are on encrypted sockets...
