Though I think the price is OTT (if that is indeed his price), it's called supply and demand and it's not his job to run a charity.

Yes sides!! Very simples! Everybody falls one way or the other when it comes to sides of a fence.

The JOKE of it all is it's now far cheaper to own a vintage 1977 Jaguar V12, how about a nice Xj series 2 Daimler coupe same car just higher rent badge and better for it. Brake parts all mechanical parts and engine parts all british and far cheaper than silly rediculous audi prices and yet these Jag parts are at least 20 years older but still produce new today far cheaper than audi. Oh and obliterated the german touring cars,batmobiles etc in 77/78 season and would have taken the trophy if it were not for broken drive shafts.

Yup, I know. I used to be a customer. Now I choose not to be. When I see this kind of thing (again) it makes me chuckle as I envisage all the other disgusted customers also choosing not to be.
Personally, if I had an exponentially decreasing customer base I would try had to keep them on side, but each to their own.

Whoever is responsible is a matter i would like to understand but at the moment i cannot see why the rediculous increase. Maybee this part has become NLA from audi and pehaps that's the reason for the increase.So i am blaming audi and Pete. I would welcome Pete to come on here to explain the huge increase.

But, as someone posted, if Audi Tradition sell the MAF for £250 then why would it matter if Quattro Corner's was £600 or £6,000,000?

If Pete sells a wheel bearing cheaper than GSF I'll buy it from Pete, if GSF sell a brake hose cheaper than Pete I'll buy it from them.

I won't boycott Currys just because Tesco are £100 cheaper when I'm in the market for a TV. When I'm after a home cinema system I'll still check out their price.

Sidrick I never said "boycot" per say.You mentioned boycot. I would ring around like you said. I am just flaberghasted at the megahoosive increase. This wasn't meant to be a debate of how individually we excercise our rights. It's about the Massive increase in 12 months. Why?? that' all.

That price of £250 you mentioned for a maf,from the link in this thread is for a quote "MINT" one so secondhand and not new otherwise the audi site would have put new.

As Mr Sidrick quite rightly says people can charge what they want for stuff.
But then they shouldn't whine about it when people go and buy the exact same parts elsewhere for half the price and then try to help out their fellow enthusiasts by telling them where to get the best deal

It's so easy now to price compare, I always search for the best deal and have had some bargains of Pete in the past, will use him again but always price check

Be careful when buying that one you linked on Ebay, nowhere in the ad does it state that it's a Bosch item, which means it's a Chinese copy. If you're happy with this you can still get the S2 model
