boost leak test

hi chaps could do with some help with my ABY it keeps running lumpy. list of problems

high fuel usage
engine cuts out after hard acceleration
ideas lumpy
smells of fuel

im looking to do a boost leak test but not sure what to do i know i need to put a bung in the maf pipe with some thing to let air in but my question is what do i have to bung up has i don't wont to go and pop anything.

Do i need to bung the tb hose up if so how do i leak test the inlet manifold.

Any help would be grateful

You can do the whole thing in one go with a bung in the MAF hose but just go to 0.5 bar, this will check the PCV system as well. Then disconnect the PCV at the MAF hose where the little ally zig zag pipe is and bung the 20mm hole in the MAF hose and test to 1 bar.
