Totally!!! Many of you might have come across my feelings towards Audi and their extortionate parts prices on our cars. We are basically being held to ransom. It's madness.

As i said only a month or 2 ago i will be having a word with the Audi people in their corporate truck at ADI. I will be asking them why they feel the audi 80 a medium sector car marketed little more than an upmarket average Rep Mobile should command such high spares prices that would make even the owner of an 40 year old E type Jag wince in horror. I mean.....just who do Audi think they are? Definitely not a Classic Jag/porsche or a Ferrari and yet they charge even more than they do for far too many parts

    That's a wise point Paul....
Never thought (not creative enough perhaps) about it but sure enough your it's a very vey praticle solution...

Regarding deleting the aux rad.... I understand that many delete that little expensive baxtard without any issue.
But Believe me that here in Italy or Greece or SouthAfrica... I woul'nt do that.

I would use the metal impeller over plastic anyday...

Sure the Porsche men had the coolant system slightly modified for the RS2 (which is freaking hilarious from a company with long lineage in air cooled engines at the wrong end of the car - <sarcasm>so WTF did they know</sarcasm>).

There are lots of RS2+ modified ABY/AAN motors around which don't run the exotic RS2 water pump. And there's plenty running without the auxiliary radiator as well - increased air cooling - maybe the Porsche men would have preferred the irony of that eventuality.

If Audi tradition want over EUR250 for one they can **** right off... sorry for my language - but this is beyond a joke.

    It is Paul!

But only if you are not "creative" which with RS2 you must be sooner or later.

The only difference from an S2 water pump and an RS2 one it's the pulley.

With the proper tool to praise out the pulleys from both the water pumps it's a matter of seconds (it's been pushed in from the beginning is'nt it?)
To push then back in the RS2 pulley with some loctite it's even easier..

This little trick apart from saving big money gives you a ample scenario of options including IMHO the chance (which I took) to fit a GRAF OEM pump with a metal impeller rather then the original plastic one.

Original Audi S2 pump it's in the region of 100 euros with exchange of your old one.
The alternatives are as low as 50 euros or 65 like the GRAF that i choose.
Bear in mind that I have done this up to four times so far without any issue.

Same old story it's the front discs for the big reds....
Go to Audi for the two pieces drilled discs leaving on the desk a kidney and your liver...
Can't remember the price but should be in the order of 700/800 euros for the couple..
Or go for the solid drilled ones original Porsche 911/964 Turbo 3.6 and pay less then 400 euros for both (!) of them...

And so on..... There are tens of creative solutions that someone can dig on the internet or just imagine on his head.
Of course you need to be a little tinkerer or simply curious

Another example of how audi are only interested in their new s line cars and not proper s or rs cars. Real shame. My new audi supplied oil pump was made in korea. I don't drive a hyundia so why supply me parts made by one of their suppliers. I want quality parts. If audi or audi tradition won't supply them at a fair price I have to modify or make them myself. Ffs.

Its like the cam pulley. S2 one cost 60euro and the rs2 cost 160 euro.

Quite right.. But too few options I have.
Anyhow, thank you for the option code list!

I hope that rs2 still have original air pumped in original tires.

For Europeans it cost 303 euro plus 140 euro if it's Exchange part. That's hard

    Well, in fact,

I bought the timing belt and water pump together. And Audi Tradition charges EUR 24.00 for both parts to South Korea.
    I am very satisfied.
