Have thought about that, isn't always present. Let's see..my EFI coils are about 2 years old this August, in Malta's climate could be time for replacement? I have a spare set so may have a go, also looking at putting the new NGKs in once I've gapped them, will try that.

As for the boost issue, going to get the intake off anyway and putting new gasket on there and between the throttle body and intake since I need to get the injector seats done. Will also be refreshing a couple of sensors whilst under there.

Would the misfire be so bad that it could cause the car to stall?

My money is on one of the POS channels giving up.

When your inlet manifold is off, replace the white oil pressure switch down lower on the side of the block. Much easier to access with the inlet manifold or the radiator out of the way.

Let us know if the new injector inserts are a good / tight fit in your oem inlet manifold, as new oem plastic inserts weren't on my MTM copy inlet manifold.

      Best wishes.

AAN Intake Removal R&R (with injector insert replacement)

You don't tell us which EFI coilpacks you are running, the LS2 or the 1.8T style. Either way, they can go bad. You can figure out which one is bad by pulling the injector electrical connectors one by one (and reconnecting them before moving to the next cylinder). The problem coil pack will be the one that least impacts the rough idle when you disconnect the injector electrical connector.

As for injector inserts, etc., you might want to read this:

Thanks Dave, I am running 1.8T coils.

Looks like there's one or two more extra thing I might wanna buy before going ahead with this job such as that T style hose. Good time to replace that too!

Will keep you all updated, everything should be going down next month I hope..

They do die and your engine will then run like c**p. Easy to diagnose which one via the injector electrical connector disconnect/reconnect procedure.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, have you tried cleaning the MAF connector?
