    Reading threads on Motorgeek, and the above item was mentioned.

    Just wondering what it is, and is it any good to use ?

    Thanks either way.

        No that was one of the thing I could only see them in the US http://www.suprastore.com/spquspva.html

        With shipping and which ever valve you bought you looking near enough $800 and then custom charges on top.

          Used on dual scroll turbos to decrease spool time (by closing the valve) (so all flow goes through one scroll), then open for full flow.

          Dual scroll turbos/manifolds are normally used on even cylinder engines, eg 6 cyl with three cylinders feeding each scroll.

          Pictures make it simple;

          Quick spool valve

            Thanks guys for info. Not for me, but maybe for others.

            But at least I now know what it is all about.

            Thanks again for taking the time.

                  The reason for a valve like these, is to spool up a big high hp turbo earlier than it would normally. If you aim for 1000hp you can't get it with a early spooling 400hp turbo, so you neet a big *** turbo for that. And with a valve you can get the spooling little better than without it. So I would say that it isn't a wong size turbo matter.

                    If you are running a 1000bhp you don't care about spool because you'd be a drag car constantly high up in the rev range. These things do not help EGT's also

                    As said I've spoken with a few people who have run these and there are pro's and cons

                      So you don't use it for better spoolup?
