Any merit in putting a fan on a oem urS6 Intercooler ?
Any merit in putting a fan on a oem urS6 Intercooler ?
Just wondering if it would be any use to put a fan on the oem intercooler of a urS6 as ghetto solution for increased performance, rather than the expense and hassle of fitting a FMIC ?
Currently car is standard, but looking a RS2+ type spec in the long run.
Cannot hurt to have a small fan on whilst driving in traffic. The real issue is to make the air have some place to go AFTER it goes thru the intercooler. I started with house foundation ventilation screens & cut them down to fit in the wheelhouse liners. This gave the added benefit of getting some more air thru the oil cooler on the other side & cooler air to the brakes. It is a tight fit & with larger wheels & tires there was a bit of rubbing to be sorted.

On stock k24 7000 with moderate boost IAT is not a problem. At hp limit of the k247000 the compressor itself is a problem,so cooling down 0.2 bar extra does not worth.Get further with the turbo.
