What MAF & KKK Turbo options for 400-450 HP?

So what MAF options do I have for 400-450 HP?

As far as I can tell the following:

RS2 MAF (extremely) expensive but should be ok at 400hp.

RS4 MAF in ALFA MAF housing should be around 400HP and then mapped by PRJ?

PRJ speed density tune, so no MAF is need. Not sure what power level, but I would assume 450HP would not be a problem?

Any other MAF options that I'm missing?

Regarding turbo I was considering the following:

RS2 turbo mapped with Aquamist HFS-3 could maybe reach 400HP.

K26/27 or K26/27/29 turbo could be mapped with an Aqumist but not needed for 450 hp.

Problem is that I can find the RS2 turbo easily enough but I can't find a K26/27.

Ultimot.de has a K26/27/29 variant but it is 2400euro, but that seems a bit expensive.

Any suggestions?

What I have understud, there is no power limit for Dmitris speed denstiy(maffless) setup.

MD147 will get you above 400bhp - bit more lag than RS2 but that is price you pay.

Don't forget Rs2 MAF is identical to S2 MAF except for the mesh grid.

Prj was doing hot film MAF conversions in the past - maybe he prefers the speed density route these days.

Hi,

I recommend HX35 Super + manifold + WMI for reliable 520hp.
Tune can be done without MAF.

If you want we can build your car for you, you are not that far from our shop.
We have built some cars for Norwegian customers etc. Can do everything from engine rebuild to tig welded exhausts and mapping.

But I'm just after mapping, the rest I can do myself and I quite enjoy it. No fun in paying others to do all the fun stuff, I need something to do besides working and the family.

I need engine bay to look as OEM as possible I dont think it will with a HX35super, but I'm just guessing here. That is way I would prefer RS2 turbo or some K26/27 variant stuck on a Wagner manifold.

No - the resistor mod just scales the MAF signal correctly for the RS2 software.

The MD147 turbo I mentioned is a k26/27/29 hybrid made by turbo dynamics - there is one for sale in Australia at the moment.

400 might be doable with WMI, never had WMI on a car with just RS2 turbo.

If I decide to go for more power I may have a brand new gt2871r kkk hybrid built by aet turbos. This will support 450bhp and good spool.

2871R on straight pump is barely a 400hp turbo on 2.2T. Anything over 400hp requires a GT30 turbine.

Given RS2 wont go up to this power i think it's about as OEM as you're going to get.

I ran the RS2 MAF for a while but they kept breaking, hence moving to the RS4 as they're more readily available and meant to be more reliable.

I mean, the RS2's turbo goes around 360 (maybe 380hp?); but it's a #6 hotsided. But... with a #8 hotside? 10hp more? or not?

There is no 8 hotside available for the RS2 K24/7200. At least not from KKK originally.

Still not necessary,limitting thing is compressor side. RS2 turbo hotside is good for up to 420 hp when combined with the right compressor side. All from KKK directly, no other parts needed.

K26/27 or K26/27/29 won´t give you advantage in this power range, just more lag.

Is the KX500 bolt on to the Wagner manifold with KKK flange and DP with stock flange location?

How about oil and water, does it need new lines?

What is the spool on the KX500 compared to the RS2 turbo?
