    n75 wgfv s2 3b

After driving an aby avant recently I noticed that the acceleration and throttle response was greater than my 3b.
I have recently resolved some boost leaks a split breather and fitted a Behr Mets.
the car is better and certainly idles much smoother but it's a little Off that of the aby.
I have to wonder wether it's just the differences between the engines or not.
    I have no faults stored.
I have a New wgfv from a 1.8t which has the correct. Configuration.
What's the thoughts is it worth a try or is there a simple way to take the n75 out the equation?

With the N75 unplugged you should only be getting wastegate spring pressure.

Does the N75 click if you do an output test in vag com? Have you leak tested it after fixing the leaks to confirm 100%

i realise i will only be getting spring pressure. It does work on output tests and I have pressure tested very recently as i was getting boost cut. I found about 4 leaks and rectified them. I even tested the wastegate diaphragm with a vac pump and it held pressure and snapped shut once vacuum was released

Is your throttle cable tight enough? Are you getting WOT?

Try the N75 from the 1.8T it should be fine. Long leg to the MAF hose, opposite one to the WG and downward one to the face of the cold side.

Ill give the new N75 a go and report back. The throttle cable is fine, its not like the car is slow but after driving another its a little off the pace.

If it drives the same with the N75 disconnected then you are not getting ECU boost control. When you do it will be a lot quicker.

Yes I can't wait but it's finding out what's causing it now.

A boost gauge would tell you a LOT !

I know but I'm not a fan of them just based on the look in the cabin.
I guess I could plumb one in temporary.

Is there a way to temporarily remove the wgfv from equation? Such as clamping the line.
A's I'm 99 percent certain I haven't got a leak as I replaced all pipes and clamps and pressure tested many times what else other than n75 could it be?

You could unplug the MFTS to eliminate that.

A cheap boost gauge and a length of hose is great for diagnostics.

You have leak tested with a bung in the maf hose (breather disconnected), then pressure tested the whole intake? No leaks?

Do you want to mechanically force it to boost? Or just disconnect the N75 to check its not leaking?

I haven't known the car run better than it is now and it's the same with the old as it is on the New mfts.
I pressure tested it with the breather system bungled using a genuine vag tool.
I'm just wondering if the line to the wg can be clamped as a quick test?
