Problem sorted. I bought a second hand Recirc Valve
Off Ebay for £12. Part number 710 N. Fitted it yesterday. Has got rid of the surging completely. Cannot believe the difference its made to the performance. I'm seeing 1.4 bar on the boost gauge now. She's flying.
The problem was more noticeable at slow speeds. Around town and in traffic and in 2nd and 3rd gear with your foot steady on the throttle at anywhere between 1500-3000rpm you could feel it surging on and off only slightly but definitely there. So yes your symptoms do sound similar. Maybe try fitting another Diverter valve. Its worked for me!
