not shure about this... but you may not got oil for the camshaft in head.... and the oil does controlled by 2 sencors.... i wil use this valve in the oilfiltehousing.... for safety..( with locktite or permabond on the threads... ( medium)

Be careful. I know it's to stop drain down of oil from the head when the engine is off, but it could also restrict/control oil flow at higher RPM to stop overfilling the head. I'm sure there are plenty of experts here that will chip in.

Thought it was just a pressure regulator for the oil pressure sensor, it is the one that sits behind the cotton reel type looking sensor right

As said it's check valve to ensure the oil feed in the head isn't draining empty. But it can also be acting as a restrictor so the head isn't flooding, and to keep up the pressure to the crank bearings. Just my thoughts...

            Edit.

            5cylinderman had the same thoughts.

Excess oil pressure to a head with hydraulic lifters will end in tears, dont go there.
